Job Description

Contract Length:  4 months with possible extension or conversion

Job Summary:  The Assembly Technician plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by assembling and testing various components and products.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, and various machinery as required. Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to ensure accurate and precise assembly of components.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled components and finished products to ensure they meet established standards and specifications. Identify and report any defects or non-conformities to the supervisor for further action.
  • Conduct functional tests on assembled products to verify proper operation and identify any potential issues. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of components, parts, and tools necessary for the assembly process.

Requirements:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in assembly work or a related manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and work with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and electronic components is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
